About
You arrived at the weblog of Geert Baeke. I am the technology manager for a company called Xylos (Belgium). I mostly work with Microsoft technologies such as Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, Sharepoint, MSCS, and more. I am also actively busy with VMware's products, focussing on VMware ESX.

Re: Re: XenSource XenEnterprise 3.1: Installation and Basic Management

Alan,
I have been playing with XenSource Enterprise 3.2 and I like the improvements. The documentation is accurate and to the point but I feel it needs more depth to look acceptable in an Enterprise environment. When our customers make a decision to go with a product, documentation and support are very important. In this case, I feel that the documentation needs more detailed explanations of the technology. This will become more and more important especially when XenEnterprise gains capabilities like live migration.
Don't get me wrong. The documentation at this moment is good enough and all you need if you think of the closed appliance model. I certainly did not have any problems getting XenEnterprise to work and did not even need the documentation to get up and running. I guess that will be the case for most people.
Regards
Geert
